John turned up to complete an electrical standards test of my kitchen within a few hours of me posting the job on Rated People which was great. He even managed to turn off the water for me when he discovered a leak from a toilet upstairs which was great as I wasn't at the property at the time. A recently purchased house, we needed some additional sockets, and a new fuse board. PE came in reviewed and advised that the current wiring done around 50 years ago was aluminium and nothing was earthed. (We check his comments and he was right).
