New to Rated People, but a family trade for generations; the Sykes Brothers consists of William and Finlay Sykes, bricklayers following in the footsteps of their father, Tony Sykes, and grandfather, Bill Sykes - both life-long bricklayers and masters of the trade. Being raised around the industry from a young age, we have both had exposure to bricklaying and building from childhood, from our father building our family home, to learning the trade when we were of age. Now, as qualified bricklayers, we have a wide range of construction knowledge and ability that is complimented by our professionalism and no-corners-cut approach to our work. We are a team looking to modernise the perception of tradesmen, breaking stereotypes while maintaining a high quality standard of work.

After reaching out on rated people for bricklayers to sort my front garden wall following a car crash, I thankfully came across will Sykes of Sykes brothers. He was refreshing with attention to detail over the choice of bricks,options to fit a budget, timescales and gave me confidence where others didn't. Will definitely went the extra mile.After engaging his services he started sorting my wall while I was away sending me photos of his progress. Very fairly priced, professional n did what he said he'd do.

A fantastic experience from start to finish! I had been let down by a local tradesman. I entered some details on here & received a response from Lukas within 5 mins Lukas arrived promptly & provided a quote which I had no hesitation in accepting Lukas offered advice on which materials to use and I was really impressed by Lukas. On on build are a general building company based in the Nottingham and surrounding areas. We provide various services including underfloor heating and floor sreeeding, bricklaying, driveways, turfing,fencing, patios, roofing and driveway cleaning and resealing. PL insured and cscs cpcs certified. Over the last 3 years i have been working on train sidings refurbishment in manchester and new build house and been on checkatrade, but back on rated people again now.

Steve took our fireplace ideas and made them into exactly what we wanted. Professional and polite throughout, he worked hard to get the job done. Trustworthy enough to leave with a key to our house whilst we were at work, and kept us up to date with what he had done and what he had left to do.
